This is a scene I have wanted to portray for so long, even though so many others have done so before me. As soon as I saw the base image of the Grey Fairy series by Auroradreams I knew that she was my Luthien. I had to change her raiment from grey to blue, and add many more layers and folds to her dress so it wasn’t lost against the misty background, but she was still perfect!

The background is a meld of two separate images of trees in the fog. I made the knotwork border from a shot of a book cover worked in leather.
